Happy Wednesday :)

Well. I’m back with some more cards for you. I’ve been busy making sets of cards, because I am getting a couple of opportunities to sell my cards. I’m so excited that I can’t stop smiling.

And I’m also thinking that maybe I should have ordered a case of adhesive refills…

These are some of the sets of cards that I have ready. I also have 16 more that just got on bases. I’ll have to share pictures of those next post.

I’m excited to see these all come to life.

In my mass card-making adventure, I also wanted to play along with another sketch challenge. Perfect timing! Lol!

Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

I have such a hard time getting little squares lined up. :/ I took advantage of this sketch and some of my little pieces that needed to be used from this pack of paper.

Simple. But I think they turned out ok. 🙂

I’m going to grab another stack of paper and get busy. It looks like there is a lot more card making in my future.

Thanks for stopping by today!

More Challenges :)

Well. Yesterday was the day that will be remembered as the craft disaster of 2017.

My 9 year old big shot gave up the ghost. In the middle of a card session. 😦 With my magnetic platform, snowflake dies, and detail plate all stuck inside.

Thank goodness I got my things out. But the gears just quit working. I’ve worked it hard over the years, so I have gotten my money’s worth from it. Now I’m patiently waiting on a new one. (And have a collection of small screws in my tool box. lol!)

On to the cards.

Cards in Envy and Kathy’s Sketch File

I actually combined challenges. Yay!

The Cards in Envy challenge was a card with circle frames. I’m pretty good at using circles so I thought, no worries!

The challenge at Kathy’s Sketch file was:

So I rotated the sketch, found a background I had previously made, and turned out a little card.

I know the little pup isn’t quite the colors you would expect for this background, but I colored it to look like my Mom’s corgi. I may have to let her use this card. 🙂

Try Stampin’ on Tuesday

I missed being able to link up to this next challenge, but wanted to share anyway.

I had a stash of adorable doodlebug papers from an old Simon Says Stamp card kit. I’ve been inspired to use up some of my supplies and so I pulled out this stash and ended up making several other cards. (Pictures to come) 🙂

Something else…

Last card I want to share at the moment is a new fold. I found the measurements on Pinterest. I’ve included the details and linked to the main website. 🙂

I think it turned out really cute and was super easy. I think I’ll be making several more. 🙂

I will share some more cards soon! Thanks for stopping by!

Challenge crazy

If you have ever been around me, you know I love sketch and color challenges. All I have wanted to do on this break is make cards. And I have gone a little overboard on the challenges. 🙂

I have found about 10 challenges I am wanting to enter a card into. Y’all! I’ve about lost my mind. So I have 4 ready and wanted to get them posted. Here we go!!

Freshly Made Sketches

I rotated the sketch and used the adorable Lawn Fawn sloth. I had a student last year that *loved* anything sloth and it makes me think of her. 🙂

Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2

This is a new-to-me challenge blog, but the current challenge was to choose any of their 2017 sketches and make a card. The sketches were square, so I used that as inspiration for my card.

I used the Simon Says Stamp Coffee and Tea stamp set and the super fun Concord & 9th plaid background stamp.

Try Stampin’ on Tuesday

This is another unfamiliar challenge blog, but they have two sketch challenges running right now. This is my entry for #351.

The optional challenge was a winter theme. 🙂

I am working on my entry for their second challenge. 🙂

Atlantic Hearts Challenge

This is another beautiful sketch challenge. There are lots of great examples and sketches on this site. Yay!

I used Concord & 9th’s beautiful Magnolia Wreath stamp set. I might need some more practice with it, but I love how you can add such dimension.

Alright. I’ve been to the store to get more adhesive and I’m ready to try my hand at a few more challenges. I’ll see you again soon!

I really am alive…

Well. I kinda forgot about ya, blog.

I don’t have much to say about the time while I fell off the face of the earth. Work. Teaching. Busy.

Moving on. 🙂

You know how sometimes you just get in a crafting funk and can’t really think of a creative idea to save your life? I’ve been there for quite a while. It just so happens that a sweet church/crafty friend decided to purge a TON of her supplies and goodies and so I got loads of cardstock, dies, and inks. And somehow that little act of kindness woke my foggy craft brain up. ❤️ Now I am in the “make all the things” mode. And I’ve missed it all so much.

I am going to get back to trying my hand at different challenges and posting here more. I’ve added the instagram feed doo-dad on the side so that you can keep up with me, even when I’m a slacker blogger.

I colored these sweet images from the December Simon Says Stamp card kit with my copic markers. This first card was a take on the MFT sketch #324.

Christmas card This card I put in the mail for my Aunt. She always signs her cards from her and all her sweet pets. Since Lucy and I claim our stray kitties at this point, I had to include them. They really are black cats, but the grey suits them well. They stay outside, but sure know to come when they are called. Lol!

Christmas card

I’ve been currently addicted to the Lawn Fawn scalloped pop up box card. I made one for a friend of mine with the Lawn Fawn Happy Howlidays stamp set. Made one of the puppers from the LF set Critters at the Dog Park look like his dog. I have more pictures on Insta, but here is one from before I mailed it.

had to text me to ask how to open it, but he loved it. 🙂

When I colored all those adorable pups, I made enough for several cards. So naturally, I made another.

These used the plaid background stamp from Concord & 9th on the outside. Love.

This one isn’t quite as full as the one for my friend, but I love it just the same. I could make puppy pop-up cards all day!! Lol!

In my current quest to find some challenges, I ran across a new one today that this card fits perfectly. Hello!

The Christmas Card Throwdown challenge blog is new to me… but looks like a lot of fun!

I chose the March 2013 theme of Animals.

I look forward to checking in with this challenge in the future and playing along.

Speaking of new places to visit, I found Challenges for Days which lists lots of challenge blogs. I’m a little overwhelmed, but excited to have a place to quickly find a challenge. I will have to see if I can play along with any other challenges over Christmas break.

I’ll see you soon!

A light at the end of the tunnel

Yesterday I started the last class that I need to finish my Master’s degree. I think there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I had originally hoped that the dates for teaching summer school would be after I finished class, but no such luck. Looks like superwoman gets 8 more weeks before she gets some rest.

Our Bible study is going well! I plan on updating the Handmade Hope page very soon! I’m working on taking some pictures of the cards we have done to post. I’m so excited to see this ministry come to life! I will have ways that other crafters can participate in the future, so please check back soon if you are interested in learning more about our ministry!

Last week I got a big surprise! I was chosen to be featured on the Simon Says Stamp Blog as part of the Spotted! feature. You can check out the original blog post here. My sweet chickens were spotted and featured!

I made these super cute chickens for a dear friend of mine! She has moved to a new home and has a brand new barn and extra fancy coop for her chickens. She blessed me with some fresh eggs and I wanted to give her a little handmade love to thank her. 🙂 Isn’t her new coop just the cutest? So naturally, my little felties had to coordinate with her colors.

Busy can’t begin to describe my schedule, so some of my regularly scheduled crafting has been on hold. However, I do have a few things that I haven’t shared with you that I have today.

This used the My Favorite Things Warm & Fuzzy card kit. So many cute things in this kit! I can’t wait to get the new flower kit that is releasing today!

This is one of our class cards for Handmade Hope. I can’t wait to share more with you very soon!

Thanks for stopping in today and I appreciate you being patient! See you soon!

Long time…

Well, it has been a long time since I have had the opportunity to post any cards because between work and grad school, I just haven’t had the chance to work in the studio. But this week has been spring break from the kiddos, so I have had time to get homework done and play in the studio! 🙂 I have a few new cards to share, so I’ll get right to it…

I was excited to color this little lady and bought her so I could work on hair with my copics. I think I need to work on a little more definition with the darker color, but I think I did ok.

This little “long neck” was just too cute! I can’t wait to play some more with this stamp set!

My mom needed a (very belated) birthday card for one of her dear friends. She loves kitties and plants, so I took my cue from some of the MFT designers and combined these cute cats with the adorable new succulent stamps!

And this card just makes me smile! I have a growing collection of succulents in my kitchen, and I have my eye on a few cacti just like these to purchase soon.

I admit. Stamps and plants are my two addictions. It helps if you admit it, right?

My last card for today is doing double duty! I used the MFT Color Challenge for the card, as well as the Retro Sketches sketch for the week. It has been a while since I’ve been able to participate in a challenge, so I’m excited to have this little card made!

Thank you for checking in with me this week! Hope your week is blessed! We’ve had so much rain it is a surprise that we haven’t floated away!

Happy Saturday!

Just wanting to check in with you all today! I had a few new cards to share with you today.

The first is using the new sheep stamps from My Favorite Things. I think they are super cute! I don’t know why I like cute little sheep, but when I saw these stamps, I just knew I had to have them!

Today I thought I would try my hand at a box card. Honestly I woke up and thought, “you know, you haven’t tried one of those. You need to.” And so with the help of some things I die cut and colored last night, the makings of one card became a whole new creation. I’m pleased with how it came out!

I had so much fun making this card!! I got the smaller measurements from Split Coast Stampers and love that it is the perfect sized card!

I also wanted to participate in this week’s Color Throwdown, which was to use green, yellow, orange & gray. Click on the challenge image below to be taken to see all of the great submissions this week!

I think I’m off to create another box card! Easily a new favorite style!

Have a great Saturday!
